There are many way to cleanse your skin – foam, oil, soap, but our favorite way to deep cleanse our face and remove makeup without stripping off our skin’s natural oil is with a cleansing balm. Even A-list Hollywood celebrities including Kate Hudson, Eva Mendes and Jessica Alba are on same the bandwagon!\n\nHow to use a cleansing balm\nIf you are new to this whole concept of using a cleansing balm, read below for simple instructions on how to use one:\nStep 1: Start with a dry skin, do not wash your face before you use it – IMPORTANT*\nStep 2: Scoop out a small dollop of cleansing balm with dry hands (you may have to use more if you are applying heavy makeup)\nStep 3: Apply all over your face and gently massage the balm in circular motions all over your face to dissolve makeup and remove any impurities\nStep 4: Rinse off with lukewarm water. You may also use a wet muslin cloth to cleanse completely.\nStep 5: Double-cleanse with a water-based cleanser (this step is optional depending on your preference) and follow with your favorite toners, serums and moisturisers.\nOur favorite cleansing balm\nIf you have dry, combination and sensitive skin we highly recommend Aromatica’s Orange Cleansing Sherbet. We love that it comes in a super-size generous tub and contains natural ingredients, is paraben-free and has a nice citrusy aroma. Plus, it has ECOCERT organic certification (so much wins!). We have also tried the Banila Co. Clean It Zero, but it may not be the best because it contains added fragrance and mineral oil.\nWe suggest you use this as part of your evening-cleansing ritual before bed :)\nHere’s a demo video and review by BeautyBookCorner:\n\nTell us what are your favorite cleansing balm brands and how do you prefer cleansing balms over oil-based cleansers!
